Application Note:
Western blot - Use at 1:1,000 to 1:5,000 dilution. ELISA - Recommended starting diultion of 1:10,000. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry.

Background:
The affinity purified anti rabbit IgG reacts with rabbit immunoglobulins and the papain derived Fc and Fab fragments by IEP and gel diffusion techniques. There is no reaction with mouse or human serum. Chickens were immunized with highly purified rabbit IgG isolated from normal pooled rabbit serum, in Freund's adjuvant. Eggs were collected, the IgY fraction prepared and the anti rabbit IgG immunoaffinity purified off a solid phase immunoabsorbant. Anti Rabbit IgG was further absorbed against mouse and human IgG. The affinity-purified antibody was conjugated with horseradish peroxidase.
